Buenaventura BV500 Cigar
Buenaventura BV500 CigarBuenaventura BV500 Cigar
Buenaventuras have an old-school look, with vintage-style cigar bands and simple yet elegant packaging. Buenaventuras by Curivari are Nicaraguan puros, made with a mixture of tobaccos from Jalapa, Estelí and Condega. Curivari makes all its cigars with Nicaraguan tobaccos, but they typically shy away from using tobacco from Condega, which might explain the standout nature of the Buenaventura blend.
This pressed cigar delivers a medium-bodied flavour profile with a decidedly creamy texture to the smoke, notes of roasted peanuts and a flavourful finish smacking of graham crackers.

CAO Mortal Coil Toro Cigar

Though we’ve sourced tobacco from the Dominican Republic for years, CAO Mortal Coil marks our first experience with andullo—a rare, centuries-old technique where cured tobacco is tightly fermented in palm pods called “yaguas.” This unique process produces a dark, leathery tobacco with a bold yet sweet flavour. We’ve blended this rich leaf with Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers, wrapped it in a hearty USA Broadleaf, and finished it with an American Shade binder to create a medium-bodied cigar that delivers notes of earth, cocoa, dark cherry, and nuts. Perfectly paired with port, cognac, or espresso
Sometimes, the most unexpected discoveries are right under your nose. Although we’ve sourced tobacco from the Dominican Republic for years, we hadn’t yet tapped into the unique tradition of andullo tobacco—a rare, centuries-old method where cured tobacco leaves are tightly bundled and fermented inside palm tree pods known as “yaguas.” The result? A rich, dark, leathery tobacco with a bold yet sweet flavour profile.
CAO Mortal Coil showcases this extraordinary tobacco at its core, wrapped in a robust USA Broadleaf and complemented by an American Shade binder. Inside, you’ll find a dynamic blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican andullo tobaccos, delivering a one-of-a-kind smoke that’s anything but ordinary.
